Deltona Family Attorney, Family Lawyer Since 2005

AAA Family Law

No resident of Deltona is farther than fifteen to twenty miles from our law firm's office in Altamonte Springs, Florida at 283 Cranes Roost Blvd., Suite 111. It is a firm dedicated exclusively to family law cases in the counties of Seminole, Orange, Oceola, Volusia and Lake.  Its founder and managing attorney, Eduardo J. Mejias has been successfully practicing family law almost exclusively since 2003.

Attorney Mejias graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1997 and has been practicing law since 1999.  He has represented clients in hundreds of divorce mediations and more than fifty trials.  Given this level of experience in divorce cases you can be assured of the best quality of representation. What this means is that he is better able to find the applicable sections of the law that can be used to protect your rights, sections that might be missed by attorneys that do not specialize in this area of the law or do not have as many years of experience.

Attorney Mejias also has extensive experience in these types of cases: (a) issues that sometimes arise after the divorce, such as requests for modifications or enforcement of spousal support (alimony) or child custody and support, (b) legal disputes regarding accusations of domestic violence, child abuse cases submitted to the Florida Department of Children and Families and (c) claims regarding paternity and the rights and responsibilities associated with it.

And he has also provided legal services of the type that do not frequently involve a legal dispute but require the expertise of a family attorney, such as: (a) drafter prenuptial agreements that are legally enforceable, helping with family member adoptions of children and (b) assisting clients in the legal processes involved completing a name change.

From his experience he has also learned the importance of maintaining good communications with his clients because family law cases require frequent exchange of information between lawyer and client.  This is one reason he has made a public commitment to return phone calls and emails within twenty-four hours during business days.

If you live in Deltona and have a family situation that requires the attention of a family attorney, please make an appointment for a free thirty-minute initial consultation with Eduardo J. Mejias at (407) 260-6001 between 9 am and 6 pm Mon-Fri or 12 noon and 6 pm on Saturdays. There is an hourly charge for additional consultation time. See Family Lawyer Retainer Fees.

At this free consultation, Mr. Mejias may ask you to bring some documents, then listen to your situation, ask some questions and develop a specific plan to resolve your family law issues.  You will also be informed of the amount of the legal fees involved.  In almost every case the fee is a fixed amount, not an hourly rate.  Therefore, you will know how much the case will cost you before you sign a contract or make a payment. If you cannot pay the entire amount at the time of signing the contract there are payment plans that stretch the payments for up to three months.

It will be helpful to you to read the Practice Area page that applies to your case before making an appointment for a consultation with a lawyer.
